As technology is taking over the world, customers are getting highly time-sensitive. The things, that used to take hours, are now expected to happen within minutes. And if you don’t try to cut those minutes into seconds, you are going to lose your customers.

One way of saving your customers’ time is Appointment Calendar Widget. It allows them to book their repair appointments from their homes. So they don’t have to come to your repair store and spend 10 to 15 minutes explaining what they need you to repair. They can simply go to your website, fill the details of their device, choose the repair service they need, add their contact information, and book their repair appointment with your store within 4-5 minutes. Pretty cool, right?

The Mess Up

Let’s say a customer needs urgent repair for his device. But he doesn’t have the time to visit your store. He will go to your website and book his appointment with your repair store. So far, so good. Your appointment widget saved his time and he is happy. But what happens next?

The customer will visit your store as per his repair appointment. He will tell you his name and ask you to look it up in your system. You will go to the manage leads section of your repair shop software and enter the customer’s name in the search bar. Big surprise, no matching results.

So what do you do now? You go back and manually look for customer’s name in the list of leads. Still no matches! Maybe he did a typo in his name while booking the appointment. But he doesn’t care, all he wants from you is to stop messing around and repair his device as quickly as possible.

The Fix: Lead ID

Every appointment/lead is saved in the system of your repair shop software with a unique id/number. You can ask your customer to check that lead ID in their email and enter it in your POS system. And Viola, you will find their appointment details in no time.

So, save yourself from the trouble and embarrassment of wasting your customers’ time and use lead IDs to search for their appointments. Simply add the new lead_id tag in the advanced configurations of Appointment Calendar Widget and your repair shop software will share the lead ID of every customer with them via email.
